Racing Club Horses

Alan Bresil
Alan Bresil 5yo Gelding by Blue Bresil.
Only had the one run finishing third in what was possibly the best Maidens run in English Points this year.
The winner was subsequently sold for £135k to Paul Nicholls and looks an out and out 2 miler and looks top class.
The horse in second, March On Oxo, was a €40k store and was a lot of talk about him beforehand but still ran a very credible race just holding on to 2nd from Alan Bresil.
Alan Bresil went through the race nicely but was one of the first off the bridle. He showed a great attitude to keep tabs with the eventual winner and turning in it looked as though he might have a say in the finish. He wasn’t beaten far but his attitude and stamina really came through in what was a high class maiden P2P and is clearly going be a staying chaser further down the line, which is the complete opposite of the winner.
His Dam was a 4 time winner, once in a bumper , 2 hurdle races and 1 win over fences and it was after that winning debut over fences she was given a mark of 134. She won over 2m6f as stamina was her forte too when trained by Donald McCain.
Blue Bresil needs no introduction and as you can see with Alan Bresil, he has his sires qualities by never giving in.
A hugely promising horse to look forward to and with jumping and stamina going to be his main assets going forward, there is a lot to be excited about for the future.
Summerleaze
8yo Mare by Soldier of Fortune (Galileo) – out of Lady Wilton (Milan)
Summerleaze is a staying mare who has shown real progression under her current connections and has developed into a genuine force over extended trips.
In 2025 she has already recorded three wins, including victories over 2m6f and 2m7f in handicap hurdles, showing she handles stamina tests particularly well.
On her chase debut at Perth she was well regarded, showing more promise than the margin of defeat suggested, the run explained by the loss of a front shoe, a sign that she will take to fences with time.
Her recent form indicates she thrives when stamina is brought into play. Having begun her career over hurdles, she is strong in longer-distance handicaps and displays the durability to see out a true test.
By the illustrious Soldier of Fortune, a multiple winner of some of the most iconic staying contests on the Flat, Summerleaze brings a blend of class and stamina.
On her dam’s side, Lady Wilton(by Milan) adds further staying influence to her pedigree.
Summerleaze is a mare we believe will be well-suited to chasing over staying trips in the future, especially now that she has proven she can carry form over hurdles with consistency.
