An incredibly busy month...

March has been an incredibly busy month, with runners across the UK almost every day — and some of our biggest wins to date.

We kicked things off in style with Otie’s Friend, who won his bumper and looks a lovely horse for the future. He’s one we’re very excited to keep in the yard as we look ahead to next season.

A real highlight of the month was saddling our first Cheltenham runner, St Irene. Unfortunately, the start didn’t go her way and scuppered any chance of a podium finish, but she ran a very creditable race and it was a fantastic experience to have a runner at the Festival in our first season of training.

That same week, we enjoyed a valuable win at Fakenham in the Silver Cup, with Morning Mayhem completing a brilliant hattrick of wins. He’s another real star of the yard, showing consistency and determination with every run.

Bollin’ Thou continues to be a standout performer this season and is currently seeking a remarkable sixth win on the bounce. We’re still waiting for the right opportunity — ideally with a bit of rain — but he remains in great form and has been an absolute legend for the team this year.

Our most valuable win to date came at Kelso, where Queenie St Clair landed the BetWright Herring Queen Series Mares’ Novices’ Handicap, picking up over £50,000 in prize money. Carrying second top weight and given a superb ride by Freddie Keighley, it was a fantastic result for her owners and the team. She’s now won three times this season and continues to go from strength to strength.

We were also delighted to visit the winner’s enclosure at Hereford with Edgewell, providing a brilliant day for the “Lads That Lunch” — long-time supporters and great friends of the yard.

Overall, it’s been a hugely successful month, and we’re now beginning to introduce some of our younger horses, who will have a run or two before being turned away for the summer.

A huge thank you must go to the team at home, who have worked tirelessly to keep the horses healthy and performing at their best across the country — and as we know, places like Kelso are certainly not just down the road!

It’s hard to believe we’re approaching six months in training, over £200,000 in prize money and a total of 18 wins from 20 horses that are currently running. While things may begin to quieten slightly over the summer months, there is still plenty to look forward to.

We’re incredibly grateful to all our owners for your continued support — it means a huge amount to the whole team. Your trust and enthusiasm make days like these possible, and we look forward to sharing many more successes together.

Love the NS Team X

Alan Bresil put in another promising performance for the Club and continues to show plenty of potential. He’s very much a horse who is waiting for the ground to dry, which looks to be on its way, and we’re confident he’ll give Club members plenty of fun through the summer months.
